South Wales Police has recently seen an increase in vehicle-related crime in the local area, specifically on Excelsior road industrial estate and the surrounding area.

We recognise the concern this may cause and we would like to reassure you that officers are actively responding with increased patrols and close partnership working with local garages and community groups. We remain committed to protecting the community and reducing crime.

While we continue these proactive measures, please consider the below steps to reduce the risk of becoming a victim:

  Ensuring vehicles are locked at all times, even in short stops.

  Remove valuables from the vehicle.

  Park in well lit areas where possible.

  Report any suspicious activity promptly by calling 999 in an emergency or 101 for non urgent matters.

We would also like to empathise the importance of reporting all incidents of vehicle crime or suspicious activity, even if no items have been stolen and no damage is immediately apparent. Reports of attempted offences and suspicious behaviour help us build an accurate picture of crime patterns and identify emerging trends. Information from the community is vital in helping us prevent further offences.
